Murmur follows the real and metaphorical flight of a seagull, through the gaze of a female figure-suspended in an indefinite time-who investigates its physical and divine mechanics. Taking its cue from Nina’s famous monologue from Anton Chekhov’s The Seagull, Murmur engages in dialogue-through imaginative language-with the meaning of a truly free art.

Irene Dionisio
Irene Dionisio is a filmmaker and artist from Turin. Since her first documentary La fabbrica è piena – Tragicomedy in eight acts, she has distinguished herself by winning numerous successes and awards: her second documentary Sponde won the Premio Solinas, the Premio Scam – Brouillon d’un rêve and the Jury Prize for Cinema Verità in Iran, among others. His first feature film The Last Things was nominated at the David di Donatello Awards, for the Golden Globe for Best Debut and won a Silver Ribbon for Best Screenplay. He has also produced artistic works, exhibited in numerous national and international art galleries.
