In dialogue with these images, musician Silvia Cignoli performs live a score for electric guitar, electronics and voice, evoking and transforming the emotional universe of Notari’s cinema. A classical and electric guitarist and versatile musician, she ranges from classical to contemporary music, from radical improvisation to avant-rock to her own musical creation, a crossover between her academic background as a classical musician and electronic music. She works on various site-specific and cross-media projects and her activity in image-related music is intense, including as a composer of soundtracks<\/div>\n

Federica Foglia is a visual artist working between Canada and Italy. After graduating in Art History, Theater and Cinema from University l’Orientale in Naples, she moved to Toronto where she continued her studies and earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from York University, where she is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Cinema & Media Studies Ph.D. Her works have been exhibited and received awards in numerous international galleries and festivals<\/div>\n
