A trance-like, personal story about loss, mourning & memory. The film consists of excerpts from 70 films produced by the Educational Film Studio in Lodz in the 1960s and the first radio adaptations of Solaris<\/em>. Lem begins writing Solaris<\/em> the same year that Resnais\u2019 Hiroshima Mon Amour<\/em> is released \u2013 says Kuba Mikurda \u2013 Like Resnais\u2019 film, I find Solaris<\/em>\u00a0a fascinating study of post-traumatic memory \u2013 repressed memories that pave their way into consciousness and demand to be expressed.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space empty_h=”2″][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=”191291″]<\/p>\n

\n<\/strong>Mikurda has studied psychology (MA, 2006) and philosophy (PhD, 2012). He works as an Assistant Professor at Film School in \u0141\u00f3dz. He has delivered a number of guest lectures abroad, including British Film Institute and Tate Modern in London and Volksb\u00fchne in Berlin. He has been a student of the maverick philosopher & psychoanalyst Slavoj \u017di\u017eek and written a book about his work. He has been five times nominated for Polish Film Institute Award and won the Polish edition of British Council\u2019s \u201cInternational Young Screen Entrepreneur\u201d.
