The footage he captures during the war, along with his makeshift crew, Dzon, Ben & Boys, presents an unexpected portrait of a disoriented population that holds on to reality with resilience and a healthy dose of humor.
\nAdo, Bekir\u2019s son, uses these recordings and his father\u2019s diaries to reconstruct his image. \n<\/strong>Ado Hasanovi<\/span>\u0107<\/span> is a Bosnian director based in Rome.<\/span> A participant of Berlinale Talents Sarajevo in
\n2008, he completed a program at the Norwegian Nansen Academy in 2010, specializing in
\ninterethnic dialogue, and in 2013 he graduated as a director from the Sarajevo Film Academy. He
\ncontinued his studies at the prestigious Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome,
\nspecializing in film directing, and at The Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo, where he
\nobtained a Master\u2019s degree in Dramaturgy.
\n<\/span>Since 2015, Ado has been the Artistic Director of the Mediterranean Film Festival Passaggi
\nd’Autore in Sant’Antioco, Sardinia, and a Short Film Selector at various European festivals. He is
\nalso the creator of <\/span>Cortovisioni – How to Make a Short Film<\/span><\/i>, a workshop where he shares his
\nexpertise on every phase of short film production, from the initial idea to post-production.
\n<\/span>In 2024, Ado founded the <\/span>Silver Frame Film Festival<\/span><\/i> in Srebrenica, aimed at honoring the city and
\nits citizens, deeply affected by the traumas of the genocide, by providing a platform for artistic
\nexpression and resilience through cinema.<\/span>His short films, such as The Angel of Srebrenica <\/em>(2010), Mama <\/em>(2013), Pink Elephant (2017) and
\nLet There Be Colour<\/em> (2020), have been selected and awarded in many international film festivals.
\n<\/span>His first documentary, My Father’s Diaries<\/em>, produced by Palomar (Italy) and Mediawan (France),
