The director attempts to unravel some of the main threads of an intricate skein of events, characters, processes, and cultures. From the first signs of the new youth engagement in 1966 to 1969, the narrative proceeds non-chronologically moving on the thread of emotion as well as that of historical reconstruction. The film is organized under more than 20 headings, from “\u201cAlluvione\u201d to \u201cUno di noi\u201d, through\u00a0 \u201cBuoni\u201d, \u201cCattivi\u201d, \u201cConsumismo\u201d, \u201cContestazione\u201d until\u00a0 \u201cFiaba\u201d, \u201cFiat\u201d, \u201cNeri\u201d, \u201cPolizia\u201d and many more. In this sort of dictionary of ’68, some crucial events of that historical period are traced: from the first occupations of the universities to the battle of Valle Giulia, from the French May to the American black uprisings, from the anti-imperialist struggles to the dogmatism of Marxist-Leninist groups – demonstrating by waving the “little red book,” from police repression to the debate among intellectuals. <\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space empty_h=”2″][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=”213291″]<\/p>\n
