The men in his family, including his father, die too young, but he is still unable to understand why. When he discovers that his last name weighs like a brand in the city, he feels as if he is seeing his life again in the gangster and horror films he loves, mirroring the violence that changed his life. It is through film that, now an adult, he begins to question the past, to reconstruct his own identity. Loris G. Nese is a director, screenwriter, animator, cinematographer, and co-founder of the production company Lapazio Film. A Cinema graduate from Bologna, his short films have received international recognition.
