Cinemazero preserves and promotes one of the most important audiovisual heritages in Europe. Indeed, the collections dedicated to Tina Modotti, Federico Fellini, Orson Welles, and Pier Paolo Pasolini represent some of the finest archives in the world: an extraordinary cultural goldmine, still partially awaiting exploration and full realization.

The heritage includes over 30,000 photographs, negatives, and prints taken on the sets of the most significant films in cinematic history, as well as rare audio materials and documents. These assets are frequently utilized for exhibitions, publications, archival documentaries, performances by major artists, and research projects across the globe.

The Cinemazero Mediatheque offers—completely free of charge—access to 22,000 films and 21,000 cinema-related books. Cinemazero’s film heritage (approximately 1,500 titles) is deposited for preservation at the Cineteca del Friuli. The Cinemazero archives are housed in climate-controlled facilities following the most rigorous standards and are powered by photovoltaic panels: an investment that protects a uniquely valuable heritage and ensures its accessibility for future generations.
