In the course of our lives, we fall in love with the most diverse people. Teenage crush, long-distance love, carnal passion, deep bond: every story is different, every experience unique. Since she was 16 years old, between Paris and Rome, Chloé Barreau – filmmaker, author-she filmed all her loves. While he was living a relationship, he was already constructing the memory of it: filming, photographing, writing. But every story has at least two points of view-what do your exes remember? What is their version of events? Fragments of a love journey reconstruct the life of a woman through the stories of the people who loved her: Sébastien, Jeanne, Laurent, Ariane, Rebecca, Anne, Jean-Philippe, Anna, Bianca, Marina, Marco, Caroline… Intimate testimonies and private images mingle to reveal the universal paths of love feeling. An amazing trip down memory lane for anyone who has loved.

Chloé Barreau
is a director, creative producer and teacher living in Rome, Italy. After studying French Literature at the Sorbonne in Paris, she began her professional life in Italy teaching at the French Cultural Center. While working as a freelance journalist and translator, Chloé directed several short films, including Acqua passata (with Riccardo Scamarcio) and TV documentaries such as Anna M. (with French actress Anna Mouglalis) and Blue is the Color (London Raindance Film Festival 2004). She was later recruited by Fox Channels Italy as a Promo Producer. After ten years of working with prestigious international brands such as National Geographic Channel and winning numerous Promax Awards for creative communication along the way, she never stopped creating, often collaborating with director Andres Arce Maldonado on documentaries such as Stardust memories (2008) and La faute a mon pere (2012 – award winning). In 2015 she also worked as a TV scriptwriter for Rai 3’s documentary series, Unknowns.
Since 2018, she has been a lecturer in Communication at John Cabot University in Rome and frequently works as a speaker and voice actor for promotions and commercials. In 2020 and 2021, she directed two audio documentary podcasts, Stardust memories, souvenir della notte trasteverina (Rai Radio 3, «Tre Soldi») and Malafemmina, la vita favolosa di Lilith Primavera. In 2023 she directed Fragments of a Love Journey, a 90′ documentary produced by Matteo Rovere’s Greenland Group.
