La Liberazione, un film di famiglia
Michele Manzolini, Paolo Simoni (authors/curators) / Italy / 40’ / 2025
La Liberazione, un film di famiglia is a montage of amateur film images documenting and witnessing the period from the fall of fascism to the Liberation, culminating in the last ten days of April 1945. Images that come from below, amid moments of disbelief, emotion and happiness, but also of dramatic junctures: the partisan struggle, the bombings that gut the cities, the escape of the Germans. Amateur cinema thus becomes an eyewitness to History and everyday life, between the smiles that exorcise the moments of war and the smiles of Liberation.
Music Guglielmo Pagnozzi.
