Visual artist Federica Foglia interweaves fragments of Elvira Notari’s production with orphan films, home movies and images from her own filmography, creating a cinematic collage that spans time and geography. In dialogue with these images, musician Silvia Cignoli performs live a score for electric guitar, electronics and voice, evoking and transforming the emotional universe of Notari’s cinema. Between historical memory and critical fabulation, the performance restores a sensitive and contemporary presence to the figure of the Neapolitan director, questioning the relationship between archive, loss and survival of images over time.
