Mnemotheque is an installation that takes the form of a kaleidoscopic journey inside the memory of the people of one of the places-symbols of the history of Italy in the 20th century, kept in the archives of the family cinema in Carbonia. Not a simple re-enactment, but a mental composition of visual and sound fragments, splinters of memories blurred yet dense with emotional intensity. Individual subjects from film scans and magnetic tape acquisitions were isolated, slowed down, enlarged and recomposed into a new dreamlike, hypnotic and surreal scenario.

George Ferrero
Giorgio Ferrero is an internationally awarded director and composer. He has composed soundtracks for dozens of films, installations and theatrical performances. His latest multidisciplinary project, Thermocene, was presented in 2025 as an exhibition and audiovisual installation at Gallerie d’Italia, the 19th International Architecture Exhibition of the Venice Biennale and GAMeC in Bergamo. With Rodolfo Mongitore and Marco Quartana, he directs the production company Mybosswas, which he founded in 2011 in Turin, Italy, of which he is creative director.
