Right after World War II, 5,000 children were sent from Austria to stay for a short time with host families in Portugal, where they could recover from the violence of war. They were often welcomed into wealthy households with domestic staff and perfect sun-kissed gardens. This short-lived dream had a huge impact on the lives of the young Austrian children, confronted at a young age with the enormous economic disparities of the post-war period. –s-

Both have exhibited their works in international film festivals and art exhibitions around the world (Viennale, Visions du Réel, Sarajevo IFF, Torino FF, Mar del Plata Independent FF, PhotoEspaña, Documenta Film Festival, ecc.).
