A depiction of the change of evil through the superstructures of power.
The walls of Trieste’s former concentration camp, the Risiera of San Sabba, give the words of knowledge a sense of physical drawl, thanks to Jean Baudrillard’s prophetic text, The Transparency of Evil, which, however, is not accompanied by the images, but chooses a path independent of them, and at the same time parallel.
This short film, divided between film and digital, black and white and color, past and present, tries to remind us how fragile and evanescent the concept of truth is, staged here as a whisper, which nevertheless in its feeble being tries to resist any rhetorical temptation.

MarioBlaconà
Mario Blaconà is a filmmaker and film critic. He collaborates with the Locarno Film Festival within the Locarno Filmmakers Academy, L’Immagine e la Parola and the Locarno Residency and is on the selection committee of the Bellaria Film Festival. In 2018 he made it to the finalists of the Premio Solinas for documentary film with his project Benq5, with which he won the Front Lab Aosta 2018 and participated in the international workshop Balkan Documentary Center. In 2021 he directed the medium-length documentary film Italia, teorie per un film di famiglia, with which he participated in the Filmmaker Festival in Milan and FIDBA in Buenos Aires. In 2024 he made the short film La presa del Palazzo di Inverno, which was in competition at the 20th Lago Film Fest.
