The film is the true story of Fuani Marino, a young woman who, because of a strong depression, jumps from the fourth floor of a building and survives the fall. Svegliami a mezzanotte investigate the dark places of psychic distress through the frames and fragments, the words and emotions of a fragile existence, illuminating them with the story of an unexpected resurrection that brings hope.

His first feature film Pater Familias, was nominated for three Silver Ribbons, one David di Donatello, won 12 awards for best debut, and was selected in more than one hundred international festivals. Il Mattino ha l’Oro in bocca, was selected in competition at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival and nominated for David di Donatello for Best Supporting Actor. Naples ‘44 won the Silver Ribbon for best documentary film and was nominated for David di Donatello. DIVA!, is in the official selection of the Venice Film Festival, and in the Open Roads at the Lincoln Center in New York, as well as winning the Silver Ribbon for Best Documentary Film of 2018. Between 2021 and 2022, 3 projects for cinema: La Cura, contemporary adaptation of La peste, novel by Albert Camus, in competition at the Rome Film Festival, Svegliami a Mezzanotte a drama based on the novel by Fuani Marino and, Natale all’improvviso.
